Kitchen Design and Renovation
Maximising the existing spaces with new purpose built joinery to suit the clients needs’ is a driver in kitchen design.
Clients in Helensville had a 1970’s home with a previously renovated kitchen backing onto an internal wall. They wanted some architectural design done to lose the wall and have an open-plan space with a waterfall island and breakfast bar. This would enable the cook and guests to interact, and make both spaces feel larger.
The kitchen lacked storage so this was included in the new kitchen design, where we repositioned the existing window to a lower level, and then freed up wall space for some overhead cupboards. In addition, a new scullery provided preparation space and storage for a lot of the current kitchen equipment. The new quartz Caesarstone top and gloss laminate cabinetry provide an upmarket contemporary look to the now open plan living area.
